Public Demonstration Highlighted on Renueva Tu Energía: A Step Toward Energy Efficiency

Recently featured on the Renueva Tu Energía portal, the Renew Your Energy project hosted a public demonstration in Valladolid, showcasing practical examples of energy efficiency. As part of this initiative, participants visited energy-efficient buildings on Avenida de Santander that have significantly reduced carbon emissions by 60%, costs by 50%, and renovation times by 40%, thanks to the European project SUREFIT.

The demonstration also included a visit to a local energy community on Aravalle Street, where participants learned about a cooperative-run electricity generation plant. This plant supplies most of the energy needs for a community of seven families, offering a hands-on example of sustainable, locally-managed energy production.

This demonstration highlights the innovative solutions available to improve energy efficiency and emphasizes the importance of community-driven energy projects in the transition toward a greener future.
