Description of technology:
A small hard shell (HDPE) ice pack is filled with a salt based Positive Phase Change Material (27°C). The contents of ThinICE will “Charge” when the ambient temperature drops below 27°C, during this time the ThinICE capsule is storing the ambient temperature circa 27°C heat/cool in the form of latent energy and will set hard. When the ambient temperature rises above 27°C the ThinICE capsule will “Discharge” it’s latent energy (27°C) into the room, in the process absorbing the rising ambient heat/energy. The ThinICE capsule is constantly charging and discharging with the naturally rising and falling temperatures within the room, with no need for electricity. Therefore providing room comfort (Cool), without the need for an air conditioning unit and rising energy costs.
